The Amber Fort, also known as Amer Fort, was built in the 16th century by Maharaja Man Singh. The fort is located on a hill overlooking Maota Lake and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jaipur. The fort is a fine example of Rajput architecture and is a blend of Hindu and Muslim styles. The fort has many courtyards, palaces and temples that showcase the rich history of the Rajput era.
