Pedro Pascal (Spanish pronunciation: [xo?se ?peð?o ?alma?seða pas?kal]; with a birthdate of April 2, 1975) is a widely recognized actor from Chile and the United States. After nearly two decades of small roles in both theater and TV, Pascal rose to fame as Prince Oberyn Martell in the season four of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (in 2014). He further rose to fame by playing the character of Javier Peña in the Netflix crime drama *Narcos* (from 2015 to 2017). He later appeared in the movies *The Great Wall* (2016), *Kingsman: The Golden Circle* (2017), *The Equalizer 2* (2018), and *Triple Frontier* (2019).
His lead roles as Din Djarin in the Disney+ sci-fi series *The Mandalorian* (since 2019) and Joel in the HBO post-apocalyptic drama series The Last of Us (from 2023 onward) propelled him to international stardom, earning him a reputation for portraying characters who act as father figures. For the latter role, he won several accolades, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and nomination at the Golden Globes. He continued playing fatherly roles in the movies *We Can Be Heroes* (from 2020), *Strange Way of Life* (in 2023), and as Fink the fox in *The Wild Robot* (scheduled for 2024).
