Potgieter's Five-Star Spell Decimates Sunrisers

MI Cape Town (MICT) started their SA20 campaign with a dominant 97-run victory over defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC). Chasing a target of 175, SEC collapsed spectacularly, going from 49/4 to 50/7 in a mere five deliveries. Delano Potgieter was the wrecker-in-chief, taking a stunning 5 wickets for just 10 runs. His devastating spell in the 11th over, where he took three wickets, completely derailed SEC's chase. Earlier, Dewald Brevis's quickfire 57 had propelled MICT to a strong total. Trent Boult also contributed with early wickets for MICT. Ultimately, Potgieter’s heroics sealed a comfortable win for MICT in the season opener.
